    Wrong wrong wrong,

Off duty at a shipper doesn't happen unless you are relieved of the truck and the load.

Anything to do with the load is on duty not driving. Paper work. Walking back and forth in the dock area, taking a piss in their bathroom is all on duty.

I would venture to guess this "specialist" is setting you up by telling you a lie.

And any driver getting a call from their dispatcher to go off duty and doing it should not be allowed to drive. Dispatchers are not in charge of that truck, the driver is, not even safety can tell a driver to try to cheat the logs.

When does fmcsa have a Nebraska division?

Since were still on the subject of logging time . Let's say I have to drop a loaded trailer but it's the last trip of the day yet I still have to bobtail 20 miles over to the terminal . Do I show a inter trip were I did the drop than show a post trip at the terminal , or do a post trip at were I dropped the trailer, bobtail over to the terminal than show sleeper berth

Post trip when you are done for the day. So if you park for the night, do a post trip then.

5 min post trip the trailer, drive, then show a 5 min post trip on the tractor.

If using paper logs, how do you show 5 minutes. I generally drop the trailer 3 miles from my shop, I just flag a post trip when I drop and go straight to sleeper birth showing no time for either the post trip, nor the drive to the shop. I have never been questioned on this practice at any inspection.

On paper you don't log 5 min, you flag and notate it. This guy on paper? In your case I would do the same.
