I see a few on the road out here, they look nice, but there's a tanker company around these parts that updated their Mack D900(correct me if I'm wrong on the model) with LED lights and fresh aluminum wheels. I'd take one of those in a heartbeat

Got mine installed about 2 weeks ago. The new software has made Mavericks peoplenet tablets basically useless.

The thing locks up on its own all day long, randomly reboots and requires a reboot most of the time when i need to enter something. Like Fueling, or wake up and want to start my xlock., Unloading etc. Every time it burns some of my time waiting for it to actually WORK so I've started just rebooting it immediately when I think I'll need to do something soon because usually its working when it's just starting up.

The 5mph thing is garbage but I just have to use PC to fuel or park or whatever I guess.

 

Yeah it's total garbage. Its runs like if you still had a Windows 98 PC and tried to load windows 10 on it with 32MB of ram. Lagging so bad that the not responding thing keeps popping up wanting to close the program but when I say Ok to close the program then it just tries to reload the program over and over again forever so its just faster to hold down the power button and wait for it to reboot. It's usually response for a while after rebooting it. 10 minutes later though and it won't let me do anything on it so reboot again and again all day long.

Also whenever you stop to take a break or do a load check or whatever it takes about a minute to allow you to change your status to off duty or on duty from driving so you have to just sit there and wait. On our system it is impossible to see how many miles you've driven that day or how many hours you are currently driving so you know when to do a load check. Everything is gone for looking at your 8 days on the graph.

If you get a message at the time you are changing anything then it kicks you out of what you are doing then you have to start over again.

PC will also screw you over if you stop somewhere for a few minutes then start driving again it will change you to driving instead of PC and you can't do anything about it and you won't know until you hit 5mph that it's changed because it will still say that you are in PC until you speed up.

I started a new 14 a couple days ago while at a truck stop because of that crap. When I left to go back to where I started it put me back on driving. There is a pop-up asking you if you are still PC but unless you just sit there waiting for it then it times out and doesn't let you know that when you start driving you will have your status changed.

And our dispatchers don't know a single thing about people net so if you call to complain or ask a question the response is going to be silence on the phone line because obviously we are the beta tester for this crap but we're just supposed to "work with it" even though it's wasting time everytime we have to do anything.

 

I can tell you the qualcomm is no better since the new update.
Crashes and reboots while you’re driving, sitting, whatever.
And the best part is the 30 minute start up..
Use the peoplenet app instead. Simple and doesn’t crash..
