Yea I heard that either honda or toyota were giving away 20k miles worth of free hydrogen or something like that. Pretty good deal. Plus you and I the California tax payer also helped pay for the cost of their cars because they are subsidized.

Will be interesting to watch the landscape change over the next 10-20 years. Although there is a major auto loan bubble going on right now with tons of negative equity and 8+ year high interest loans and when that bursts I think it will hurt automotive progress a bit. We'll see.

The whole program is pretty much subsidized, that's what I tell the drivers who only do hydrogen. For their sake I hope this experiment works out. Yup their fuel is built into their lease, one driver even told me he got six months of payments taken off because of the inconvenience of short H2 supply.

This might not be related but I keep thinking there has to be an end to the prices of vehicles now days. They are just stupid high.

Finally gave up the fuel hauling life. Got on with a union cryo outfit. M-F DAYSHIFT!!!! Start at 630 everyday, do about 10 hours. Pension, 401k, top pay. Been paying my dues on nights forever to get on this so called dayshift. Only downside is that I’m a cylinder kicker for a few years until the senior guys retire and give up the gravy runs. No matter how long we’re at it, we’re always paying our dues. But to us drivers in our early thirties, we get to be those senior drivers one day.

Hell you scored on that gig driver, I've been running cryo now for 3yrs and yet to see the weekends but that's because I prefer afternoon start time. Missed the weekends by one bid this year so hopefully next year. I tell you I haven't ran into one former fuel hauler that would like to go back to it. Most of us are former fuel hauler as well.

You got that right. Loving the cryo side. No driver at this barn works a weekend and everyone is dayshift. Clean honest work. I hope I’m here for the next 35 years. I’ll never go back to fuel if I’ve got anything to do with it.

Boy I wish, our barn is 24/7/365. Shifts starting every hour and you bid on your days off by seniority. And yes if your towards the bottom you will work holidays.
