We spent Thursday driving locally. Getting those turns down without taking the curbs or crossing the white lines. Friday was more practice on the backing range. Then we were each given an opportunity to select one hat and five shirts from the cabinet, as we were graduates of MTI.

There are two instructors at MTI Cartersville. There is Jack and Steve. My experience was with Jack as my instructor. Every class is a little bit different and each instructor does things a bit differently than the other. Maybe someone who had Steve can relate their experience.

My class started with five students and ended with five students. We all made it through school. Each of us has been assigned a trainer and we have been given a CDL test date. All of our class is testing next Monday and Tuesday. My classmates are all going out with their trainers after they test. I am leaving with my trainer tonight and coming back to Cartersville for my CDL test next Tuesday.

I watched five people, myself included, who could barely figure out how to start a truck, evolve to be able to drive one, in three short weeks. Now, I will drive with a trainer for 15,000 miles. Where I will have the opportunity for an experienced driver to impart his wisdom upon me. This concludes the adventure of Millis Training Institute - Cartersville. Hopefully, it will help others who are thinking about coming here.

This chapter is concluded. I graduated MTI - Cartersville. I got my CDL and I’m out with my trainer. I have 4,288 miles of my 15,000 miles required before I get my own truck.

But this thread was about MTI - Cartersville. I’m working on something for the training portion.
