For any of you that have had to rent a tractor for whatever reason, what is the cost daily?

2018 Penske rates below. It may seem low, but buying a truck is cheaper in the long run, especially the longer you hold it.

I was more thinking of the cost if you have to rent a tractor to repower a load.

Unless things have changed, you also have to pay fuel taxes to Penske for their DOT# along with who you're leased to.

    Rideandrepair and PE_T Thank this.

Just rented one last week here in Phoenix from RWC, it’s about $140 a day. That’s for a sleeper truck.

I have an owner operator account set up with Penske. I’ve only used it once to deliver a load while my truck was in the dealer getting fixed. You want to have an account set up with them beforehand, so whenever you do need it, you can get a truck right away.

Yeah, apparently the best thing is to only pay IFTA through them and not under your own IFTA account, if I remember correctly. I ended up paying IFTA twice. Luckily it was only for like 4 days.

    Rideandrepair and Bakerman Thank this.
