EAST LACKAWANNOCK TOWNSHIP – A multiple vehicle accident just before 1 p.m. shut down a lane of Interstate 80 west.

Mercer County 911 dispatch said a couple of unknown injuries were reported in the accident that involved some passenger cars and three to four tractor trailers.

The initial call came in to 911 at 12:43 p.m. at the 12-mile marker of I-80 west.

The majority of the accidents were westbound but there was one reported eastbound, county dispatch said.

I was in PA all day today around the Pittsburgh area. Cant believe how much chaos 1" of snow can cause. I missed this wreck I posted above lucky coming into Ohio but noticed the east bound side was at a stand still... This Volvo was in the Median at the 3 yard stick, musta needed a nap.... 20191112_164849.jpg

I-80 in PA,why am I not surprised?? Volvo laid over,a brand spanking new Mack Anthem laid over and USA Truck in the median with 3 4-wheelers in the ditch!
Last night along I-65 near Lafayette Indiana State Police was very busy-3 4 wheelers off in either ditches or the median and a bulk carrier jackknifed in the median near mile marker 215 NB. The winter weather advisory originally forecasted Sunday 1-3 inches of snow but Monday it was upgraded to 2-4 inches for Northern and Central Indiana.

That was the case last year when a major winter storm hit. PA’s governor issued an executive order banning all non-essential travel statewide. Anyone caught on those roads was subject to being ticketed and fined by state police.

Oh the joys of those whom think racing slicks of summer think the same tires are good for snow.
