Ok help!
I just went to do a drop and hook at a facility. I’m properly hooked on to the new trailer, airlines and power are all three connected and operating properly.
I can’t move.
landing gear is frozen to the ground, I knocked as much ice off of it as I could and, while still connected to the ground, I should be able to move.
my drive tires will spin, but it’s like the trailer brakes are still on (yes I made sure I had it turned off).
I’m under my trailer now, lots of ice, but what do I do to get this thing moving?!
Urgent: trailer frozen

D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Some people use propane torch to warm up the brakes
-
Pull your tractor brakes release your trailer brakes take a hammer and beat on the drum till it rings if you hear a thud it’s frozen!!

Bang on the drums to make sure the brakes aren't locked up.

Do not even try to move other than to barely rock back and forth, if the landing gear is frozen down. Take a hammer and whack the feet hard a few times. I deal with this regularly.
then roll them up like they should be.
Now hope you just have shoes frozen to the drums, set your tractor brakes, release the trailer brakes and get under the trailer and hit the drums. you will be able to hear it and even see it release, when a drum releases, you may just have one, it may be all 4.
If the drums are released, then you are going to have to put airline antifreeze in the trailer lines and keep working it until it melts the ice in whichever line or valve is frozen. -
Coffey, FlaSwampRat and Mike2633 Thank this.
