We don't know what is even frozen yet, except for his landing gear, and if a guy torched one side free, it would refreeze before he got the other one free. lolBrettj3876, FlaSwampRat, stayinback and 1 other person Thank this. -

Cryin out loud.FlaSwampRat, cke and bzinger Thank this. -
Is there a Yard Jockey on this lot? Could a Yard Truck get under the trailer and raise it with their 5th Wheel to at least break the landing gear out of the ice?
Or if not, are there wood blocks or anything? The OP could get under the trailer with dumped air bags and blocks on the truck frame to push up on the trailer?
I guess it depends on how frozen this is; I don't know if yanking up on the landing gear this way could damage it or the crank gears.Tb0n3 Thanks this. -
No need to hit the brakes, until you get the landing gear up. Did you drop the air and lower the trailer down?
If you did and the hammer still will not break it loose once you air it back up, it should put enough weight on you to be able to shake the landing gear loose, with the truck, just be careful and don't overdue it.Tb0n3, magoo68, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this. -

guess next purchase will be air line antifreeze and a blow torchJReding, FlaSwampRat and Mike2633 Thank this. -
You all are missing the most important first step.
Is the trailer even airing up????? Before determining the brakes are froze up.
If you push in that red handle and you don't hear any air going through. That be the first thing to fix.
Wait a couple minutes and pull the handle out to see if the brakes even release. It's possible the trailer might SLOWLY be filling up.Last edited: Nov 12, 2019
