Ok lets say you have this 8k deductable. and most people cant just pay that at once-Does it hurt your Credit for paying over time?? Thats the question...Because many people are very anal about their credit and score......
I'd still go with the low deductable......Why do you you think "Good: jobs have healthcare plans for their employees with Low/No deductables?? Because they want their employees to live a good,Stress free Lifestyle.

I dropped my insurance this year and have no plans to get it back unless they fix this mess. There are no low deductible plans in wa state and i was paying 490 a month. My meds are almost 600 a month with insurance at cheapeat place in town or 130 paying cash.

I run 30 days out then a week at home. All those days out of state so insurance only covers ER and only after the 8k deductible. So i was basically paying 6k a year so someone else could get free healthcare. No thanks.

Did you get your health insurance through Healthcare.gov? I renewed mine today, and I saw over 50 different plans for TX. The lowest deductible plans are also the priciest.

I don't know if it affects the credit score. I guess not, if you arrange a payment agreement. I had some outstanding medical bills in the past and don't remember them being listed on Experian or Transunion.
I am not saying that this is a good coverage but it will protect the lifetime net worth. Better be healthy anyway.

The other thing to think about is that health insurance is just “insurance” and was not really intended to pay for regular medical expenses, including health conditions that are not overly expensive.

That's how I look at it too. People should stop paying stupid credit card interests and buy a health coverage instead. Especially now, where there are no preexisting conditions or any other limitations preventing them from doing so. It may look different elsewhere but in Chicago area there are plans worth considering ... I am talking Obamacare.
The owners of the credit cards are rich bastarrds who don't need health insurance. Poeple should not feed them.
