I have two Cascadia's that are getting water in the tanks all the time. In cold weather it's causing the hi lo shifter to not work, DEF problems, and even if cold enough the seat not working.

We replaced the air dryer cartridges in both.

    What else to look for?

The more the air compressor builds air, the more moisture you will get. Start fixing air leaks.

Park them in a warm building with the windows open overnight and leave the drain ####s open on the air tanks if you can.
If not blow them down repeatedly the next day and every day thereafter.
A little air line antifreeze from time to time won't hurt either.

As long as the fuel is settled you'll see the water by shining a flashlight in the tank, will look like a black pool on the bottom of tank.
The water in the fuel can be sucked out with a syphoning hose or hand pump.
If your tanks have drain plugs loosen them off and let the water drain out.

Change your fuel filter to, it's likely to have water in it as well.
Spin it off after a few hundred miles, should be able to see if there's water in it.

Next time you fuel up pour a small amount of alcohol in the tank in case there's moisture still in the tank, it will dissipate the moisture and burn it off and keep your fuel lines from icing up.

Best tip, stop buying crappy discount fuel and never fuel up where or when a tanker is pumping off a load of fuel.
From a guy who picked up nearly 10 gallons of water on a 150 gallon fuel purchase at a discount fuel stop in Wisconsin when a tanker was pumping off.

    baha Thanks this.

Replace the entire dryer. I had a Western Star with same issue. There was a bad batch of AD-9 air dryers that Freightliner put out a service bulletin about.

That's what we are going to try next. If it's not black and white, start with the cheapest and work your way up.

I'm having to drain my air tanks every night because my compressor is constantly cycling on and off. You need to fix any air leaks and I would change filter cartridge.
