389 X15 13 speed fuel mileage

    I've got this set up except 3.25 rear and I'm at 6.7 pulling a flatbed. I run the speed limit. You dont buy a 389 with fuel mileage as a concern LOL.

    I'm certainly happy to be getting 6.7. I dont idle as I have APU. But I dont think having the APU is really saving much fuel. Probably burns as much as if I were to idle.

    Yeah I know you don't buy a hood for mileage but regardless of whatever truck a man is in they might as well try to get the best that they can you know what I mean

    I hear ya. I would still stick with the 565 over the 500.

    My friend drives a 2018 or 19 KW 680. X15, 18 sp ,don't know the rear ratio. Has apprx 160,000 miles on it by now. He can hardly average 5.5 mpg.
