Ok, the small company I am leased to bought a truck for me to drive, they gave me the option to buy it first, but I turned it down, mainly because of the eld deal.
Anyway it is pretty much ready now and I brought it home, then took it to cummins to get the low water light off, and the engine turned up.
I also had the signs made and picked them up today.

Now I am new to this company driving thing, but can see where you guys complain all the time, I haven't even taken a load yet and am already out of pocket over 500 bucks.

Is this how this is suppose to work, or am I starting out all wrong?? lol I did get a fuel card though, just can't use it for repairs.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

It still ain't no cat. hope it feels different with a load on. lol
It is not a bad truck, but 10 years newer than mine and not half the truck, even though it has the same suspension specs. lol If it was not for the engine and eld, I would have bought it in a heart beat and just tinkered with it till I got it in shape to my satisfaction.

Previous boss ran 2 drivers off for having them turned up. He said anything above 2006 nothing but problems trying that. Said they won't hold together like older ones.so who knows.

I have not seen anything since the N14's hold together here and make 400,000 yet, so no biggee. lol
This actually has a 2002 engine in it.
I didn't have to pay myself, but the bosses are down south for their yearly vacation. They always go down for 30 days, and were suppose to leave over a month ago, the day after I wrecked my truck, they stuck around till we pretty much had the insurance deal done, since I am running under their insurance. lol
They have a gal staying out there with a credit card, but she was gone this evening and the card was at the office. I just paid so she wouldn't have to drive back out there, and I didn't want to wait till morning either. lol
No biggee, I will get even when they come back.

They are really good people. I was leased to them one time before, and probably should have stayed, but things slowed a little and I sort of gravitated over to my log truck. I love running it, but it doesn't pay enough to justify it, so I am not messing with it this winter.

I will drive this one for them at till they come back from vacation or till the eld kicks in, which will come close to clearing them out on the original purchase price. i will be steady watching for them a driver though. lol I know one on this forum in Texas that I may be able to talk into coming up to run out the winter anyway., and another Texan that may come up for the summer, he will not do winters up here once it turns white. lol

you leased to them as a driver?

    no truck?

repairs to their truck paid by you???

    your a company driver??

    lease purchase maybe??

none of this makes sense to me.
