If there were no minimum wage prices will be lower. Companies charged what people can afford.

I don’t believe this, I think we need to remove the bicycle helmet, kneepads,armpads, & cup from bicyle riding, we used to stand and peddle like there was no tomorrow on pedals.. until the chain snapped then you busted yourself on the bar, then either jackknifed, or ran off the road, then crashed.
But you learned. You didnt have the government pass a law yet to outlaw those dangerous chains/bicyles.
We don’t need to hire someone, give them a bodyguard, to protect us from ourself.

Some people feel people need to be protected from themselves when reality is they will continually find ways to make poor choices no matter how many rules are passed to try and stop them. Killing off one business model (truck owners being leased to a motor carrier) in order to save someone from themselves (someone making a poor choice to work 1099 or sign a lease purchase) makes no sense at all.

 

Simple, if states pass this law they get their tax payments every time you get paid. no need for them to wait for you to file

 

I don't think this will pass.

 

It already has in CA. It goes into effect on January 1, 2020.
