IRT still doesn't pay nothing layover at all. Surprise they can maintain to stay in business. The moment I found out I wouldn't get paid for being away from being home guess what, I'm taking the truck & deadheading home loaded trailer or not. Nobody shouldn't sustain being out here for a week or weeks at a time & not get paid for everyday they are out.

 

If I had 25 years I wouldn't be going into a lot companies only a few like walmart being one them over indian river. They may not have the best driver treatment but as long they don't ask me to do anything illegal I am fine with it. I don't know your situation but maybe trucking was never for you thats perfectly fine too I have other options I am eventually going do something doesn't require a truck in the next 2 years.

 

I get detention and layover if I have to wait for an empty next day
I get breakdown pay as well and get put into nice lodgings.
