What causes this? I’m open to having the head machined, but I so tired of fixing something else to only have the same problem arise 30k miles again. Wrapping is from heat, so is a fuel problem that wraps the seat? Why did the seat all go about the same time? Ran ok for the first 28k miles. Then one day ran like crap. It’s been two weeks of destroying my business. I have a huge load in my lowbed in my yard and that customer is heated. Is this a cat thing?

I have a hard time believing all 6 went bad same time..
Just takes 1 seat to leak combustion gas into the fuel rail and the rest of the injectors pick up the air down stream and engine runs like #### under heavy pullDino soar, pushbroom, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
One other thing that raises an eyebrow with me is your fuel pressure. 140 is really high and is about the relief valve spec at pump.
Do me a favor and take the fuel return line off at engine and blow through it and check make sure it's not plugged.
If fuel cant return and fuel gets super heated in the head and any air gets trapped also. This can cause same symptoms .
Your engine is a 1LW so truck is probley a 97 or 98. Your fuel lines are 20 years old if have not been replaced. ?Dino soar, pushbroom, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -

I installed the upgrade transfer pump and transfer return valve. Basically acert parts, truck ran great, yesterday blow air throw the return line, and it was good. Return fuel flows out good I installed a new fuel cooler two months ago. It was leaking a little. Here is a picture of the Injectors when we took them out.

That blue Oring looks like it's bad.
I'd say seats need cut. Or replace head with another. Hopefully truck engine machinist gets back to you on this.Oxbow Thanks this. -
