    Here in Brasil people don't can food or put food in jars like they do in the US and Europe... I guess it's because they don't have to go thru harsh winters... What would they do if they had to go thru some disaster or hardship that prevented them from getting food at the stores or anywhere...? :biggrin_2554:

    That's the type of stuff I would put in the Ramen. but I'm too cheap to buy the name brand and would get whatever was cheapest.....

    Are you aware of this stuff? It's a good "secret ingredient" or as part of a "7 layer" type dip.

    Seen people put a block of Velveeta cheese & that in a crock pot for a dip

    Growing up in California folks kinda looked sideways at us for buying commercially canned products.

    Dad wanted the food stash in case of earthquake or other infrastructure disruptions. Just wanted enough to keep us alive so we could hide out till we could safely escape the metropolitan area.

    Yes.. Mr. @Blu_Ogre .. specially in a place where those disasters do happen once in a while...
    I have met people in the US that canned their food... food that they grew in their garden... :yes2557:
