I know a couple guys who used to work there. I believe they was hourly like 17.00$ an hour? Don’t quote me. It was a stepping stone company for them. Now they drive double sides with the company I’m at.

    Maverick Griff Thanks this.

Kind of late to the party but hourly is 16.50, but that's only for stuff like detention/yard time/long jobs like convention work, air force base, etc.
Local guys are paid by load. Aggregate guys are paid by tonnage. OTR (regional) are paid by the mile. If you are fresh out of school you have to go OTR.

Not the worst, but not the best. Pretty good home time for a starter company. I work there lmk if you have any questions. We don't get referral bonuses so don't worry about anyone urging you to apply.

@Sumtinlidat I see your guys trucks all the time, hopefully I can get some small kine experience with the dumps and learn the pits if I can ever go local, then maybe I can try get in somewhere good like you ;)

Maverick Griff and elamigowapo Thank this.

Haha, my last day was yesterday. OTR trucks are 04-06 freightliner columbias. Automatic 10spd, detroit motors. 1500w inverter and a fridge. Not very powerful, supposed to be governed at 68 but some are turned up a little (mine ran 74).
Have you been working since you got your cdl? If you have some experience, the local trucks are older trucks, petes/kws/freightliners with hoods and cat motors. But everyone wants to be local so it's hard to get those spots.

    Maverick Griff Thanks this.

We are the sub contractor for all the big paving companies. We are the only union subcontractor in the city (teamsters 631). So basically they have to use us first. It’s written in our by laws. I’d say we work more for the “big” companies more than there employees do. It’s easier to use the sub sometimes.
