Well to be fair they called all the others Ford engines as well..

I thought 6.7 was still international.. guess Ford finally got tired of all the lemons.. lol

Correct me if I am wrong but 7.3 is International and 6.0 the 6.4 are FORD The 7.3 never made the emission standards. So the Ford came out prematurely with the 6.0 which was the First generation but had the problems to begin with.

6.0 and 6.4 were still International motors.

I'm actually surprised Ford managed to build a DPF engine 1st try with out any major hicups so far.

They didn't. They filed the patent for it back in 2009 but it was largely not developed in-house by Ford, who really does not have the know-how or experience to built a diesel engine from scratch anyway. Some Austrian company who does know what they are doing did most of the original design work.

The 6.0 was not the worst platform to build a good truck around, particularly the 2005-2010 model years. (6.4 engine never made it into the E series vans...wouldn't fit so they kept on with the 6.0). The 03-04's were the worst offenders but many improvements were made on the later end and they are not as bad as internet lore would have you believe. Some guys have run them 300k miles without even doing anything. Still not quite as reliable as a 7.3 or 12v Cummins but it was a more complex motor.

6.4 is an early DPF engine so that pretty much speaks for itself. Avoid unless it is just a toy truck you plan to delete and race around in for fun.

Which transmission...auto or ZF6? I would not complain either if my original motor went 575k (I have a 99 with 195k on it but can only claim responsibility for about 55k of that.)

The 6.0s are pretty serious hit and miss engine. My little brother had an 04 that marshmallowed one piston, one new piston and rings without so much as a hone job and as far as I know it's still going strong. He traded that one even over for an 06 King Ranch that we thought only needed a flywheel, turned out it spun every main bearing in the thing, one new crate engine later and it leaked at the high pressure oil pump and blew a rod, one used ambulance engine later and now it's in for injectors, he's stuck as much money in that thing as I did buying my 05 cummins and rebuilding the transmission twice.
