Well today has been a challenge. Insane traffic on the 15 south from Las Vegas. I got pulled into the super coup and received a level 1. The inspector said once of my drive axle brake chambers was leaking when pressure was applied. He didn’t write me a ticket, but it says violation on the form. I’m still not sure it’s legit. I’m currently at the TA in Barstow to have it looked at... its now snowing over Tehachapi, and the 15 looks like a parking lot. It’s raining here as well...

Into every life some rain and snow must fall. I’ll get it straight and get rolling again.

    Understandable points.

My old 4970 or wtf cpu I have is still handling things.

I've had sli and xfire setups for years.

    I only grabbed a 1660 because my 970s died.

The few hundred outlay for performance has me quite happy for 1080 gaming.

I've even stopped caring about muchnover clocking or avg fps. Used to be big into all that.

I'm quite happy with my 2tb ssd for now, and after the performance increase an el cheapo ssd made on my old laptop for the truck, one could say I'm content (for now)

I managed to source Vertex 3 SSD's in new old stock on the bay years ago. I had 12. 6 in use. One burned up 3 years ago, the raid 5 rode that one out well, trick is finding out which one was the dead SSD. That was a interesting experience and why I run those Raids and a backup array. I was back up in a hour. Now I have 5 spare.

Ive been examining today's SSD's which is about two generations faster and bigger than what I have. whew... it's going to be something. There is one drive I experimented with a Black (Black means enterprise, essentially failure resistant when the outside of a spinner hard drive has that color, if you had a green you are running eco crap that should burn up in time etc) that drive flies the seeker via chemical gas I think Helium and something else inside the hybrid above the spinning platters. 5 tera in size. It's endured 5 years 24/7 standby hot backup on ex's computer so far with no apparent block or loss.

I wonder if 6 of those will defeat my SSD array in loading first and rolling a software program be it a game or editing etc. I have some thinking I need to do. I don't want to dive into tech babbly too much. We are just dumb truckers more or less =)

Good stuff. Just be warned that something happens between the age of 18 and 23 that makes them think they are smarter than their ole dad. Take this stage with a grain of salt. It straightens out when they hit 30 and realize they didn't know ####.

You may be able to look into classic car type databases for a small fee to locate that bike. If you still hold title, you can go to the DMV and see if it is still active somewhere maybe. Im not sure what all is involved in that. It would be a very long time since 1970.

I ran into a database hunting classic cars online and apparently it would have the ability to locate the history of a vehicle by VIN. And possibly it's disposal (Salvage, wreck etc) I'll have to dive back into all that and see if I can find it. Some of the papers on the vehicle are back east in my old home. So I'll have to have that to access it properly.

Bummer, That happens too I suppose. Now you have me thinking...not the natural order of things but maybe I should tighten up instead of preaching. Yikes.
