High egt

    More timing = lower egt, higher combustion pressure. I bet they added more fuel and prob didn't go about it the proper way. Someone with more knowledge than me will chime in shortly

    How do you figure that? Timing = more Fuel more fuel = Higher EGTs

    What rpm are at when you see 1200*? I had a file in a cat that as long as you stayed above 1400 rpm it would pull all day at 700-800* but if it pulled down any lower, then the egt’s started climbing fast.

    Timing has nothing to do with how much fuel. But everything to do with when the fuel is injected.

    If the engine has had the timing advanced it would run cooler on the egts.

    He could have a bunch issues going on.
    Boost leaks. Bad tuning. Vgt turbo not working correctly. Maybe he had higher then normal egts before the tuning and now the extra fuel made it worse.
