If your F350 is set up as a wheel lift, you could always get into the repo side, but in a small population area, Id run that co under a different name than your regular tow co.

Go and talk to local repair garages and used car dealers and work out a " deal" for them.

Do like they do in Florida, add as many A's in front of your name as is necessary to make it to the top of the yellow pages...LoL

Create a business site on Google maps and whatever app iPhones use. A lot of people will go to maps to find seldom used services. Ask your friends to write 3-5☆ reviews for you on these map apps claiming quick, affordable, no hassle services. Limit yourself to tows, jump starts and tire changes...easy stuff that gets you ready for the next call.

Maybe talk to the local auto parts recyclers. You never know when they'll need an extra truck.

Get out your voodoo dolls and feathered headdress and seek a boon of snow from the gods.

So, if you need a dually anyway, why not get one, and buy two trailers. You seem to have car hauling in mind, but as @AModelCat sort of said, why limit yourself? Small rental companies, farm equipment dealers, lumber yards are all great places to drum up some other hauling.

Anyone promising you will clear 3K a week is lying.

That said, who needs a tow truck? Repair shops, body shops, rental agencies, even tire shops. Don’t forget the motorcycle outfits. Talk to anyone in the insurance
business, agents, adjusters, all of them. Visit every business in town and offer to put up free “customer parking only, others towed by Newsome towing”. Visit all the salvage yards. Offer repair shops and such a freebie for referrals. If they give you a several hundred $ tow, send them a gift card to a nice steak house. Don’t be cheap on that.

Anytime you go to a new place, bring business cards, something with your name on it they will use (scratch pads or something). and a box of donuts. Keep track of who you visited and when, and go back, several times. Keep copious notes about the visits. Don’t forget the donuts, or jerky or whatever.

You have a very well defined customer base you can just about all hit with nothing but shoe leather. The last thing you need is on line advertising.

There was a incident when a electric all wheel drive in Nurembringring Race track failed in germany last month as a concealed test prototype. Because none of the wheels moved at all locked in place being electric induction motors the German Tow truck deployed a crane, put two cradles under both axles and hoisted the entire car onto it's flat deck. Its not towable as we Americans understand it.

The Bin water solution is used by the Danes to fight vehicles when the lithium batteries suffer a thermal event and burn. The only way to fight it is to find a 30 foot container 10 wide and 8 high, fill with 5 feet minimum of water toss the entire burning car battery and all into it. leave it sit two weeks. Done.

These are the concepts used in Europe that I retained in my mind that would be very useful in a future America full of electric vehicles. I will not be alive in that time but it is for a 21 year old Tow Man business owner or operator to think on and make it happen for those days to come. Especially as increasing electric cars burn. And later electric tractor trailers.

I completely forgot to post this earlier, but the real $ in towing is getting contracts with motor clubs like AAA. Insurance companies contract them to tow their customers when needed.
