Dang I figured that you could go and would be the same as getting a replacement decal but I hope to never see California

I actually stayed at the same truck stop the day before on the 21st. I didn't see any police action there but it wasn't exactly a TS that I am planning on returning to. The Mexican food next door was alright though.

I do know that if the cops are knocking on my door I'm on my 10hr break and they can come back after I'm done but that has happened 0 times.

Maybe the store owner just didn't like all the dropped trailers in the parking lot.

Well, "coops are open" last updated in 2012, so i wouldn't consider that web page as accurate.

This isn’t just going on in the trucking industry; it’s going on in every day life everywhere here in the U.S.
The citizens have absolutely no rights whatsoever anymore yet we’re all being trained to think that all cops are ‘heroes’. Police are not heroes in any way; they are all just simple working stiffs just like all the rest of us.

And next time someone chants the tired old “but they have to face a bullet” mantra about the police, just pipe back, “I’d sure like to see those same brave cops drive an 80,000 lb. vehicle at 2AM in a blizzard on an icy road for $600.00 bucks a week”.

It’s like this.... either the cops are not heroes at all, or we’re all heroes.

The police forces have all become militarized for a reason... and it has nothing to do with keeping us safe.

Cops are NOT there to keep you safe, they are there to write reports after all the bad things have happened, or to reach into your bank account and help themselves to your money.

Minding my own business (dead asleep) at a rest stop in Crapnetticut, I get woken up by a state cop. Wants to know why the trailer I'm pulling (single car hauler) doesn't have a plate, why the car ON the trailer doesn't have a plate.... And why am I there? Provided the bills of sale - had recently purchased the trailer and am LEGALLY able to operate without a plate for 30 days (was within it) with the bill of sale and copy of the title under Georgia law, while waiting for the plates. Car on the trailer was irrelevant (as it was completely on a trailer!) but had a title for that too.

Barney effing Fife decided that since I was transiting THROUGH and Crapnetticut was neither my start nor end point... That I wasn't allowed under Crapnetticut law to have "any tires of anything unregistered" on the road... and impounded EVERYTHING. His justification for taking my tow vehicle was that it was attached to the unregistered trailer, so therefore everything was unregistered. WTF?????? Of course this was on a friday afternoon of a holiday weekend. Cost me over $1000 for NOTHING. Ticket was thrown out b/c even the judge said it was BS. Found out that the tow company has to pay actual kickbacks to the pigs for the business - and they charged me THREE tow and storage bills, even though the one on the trailer WAS ALWAYS ON MY TRAILER!!!!!!
Hope that pig has to stand outdoors in every single ice-rain storm for the rest of his miserable life.

I won't stay at a rest stop again, or a scale house. Private land only, and frankly... Even then we have no protections. If they want our money, they will FIND A WAY or just make something up.

    They USED to be-

A Cop takes an oath to "Serve and protect" But today,Its serving their own interests.

Cops (For the most part) Wrote tickets and badgered "Bad" people- People that deliberately Broke the Law and didn't care.

Today,Hard working Americans-Truckers and innocent are handled without the notion of having rights.

Sad state of affairs it is...And you can thank Society for being pushovers and Allowing this kind of abuse.

No way should you have been treated that way while you were sleeping- Unless theres more to this story, I feel bad for you.

Truckers are there oiwn worst enemy THESE DAYS- They werent abused as bad before because everyone spoke up- Challenged things,Questioned things are fought things in court.

Cops are here to Serve with our tax dollars- But state and federal agencies Abuse our tax dollars.

Nothing more to the story, I wasn't illegally parked unless there's an issue with a 4-wheeler pulling a 4 wheel trailer being parked in two normal 4-wheeler parking places with the hitch connected. Wasn't blocking anyone (these were normal spaces) and was far enough away from the building that I shouldn't have been in anyone's normal traffic pattern. The ONLY thing that seems to have attracted this pig was that the trailer and car on it didn't have plates displayed. So the only thing I can surmise is that he was trolling around running plates and looking for opportunities to eff up someone's day.

It has been that kind of year, I was asking my family if I had a "kick me" sign on me or something. This trip had been over 3000 miles without incident until on the return, and one worthless pig.
