Boy howdy, it’s been a day. I’m finally in the truck but not after one more hurdle. As I’m waiting at the airport for him to pick me up, he said someone siphoned his tanks. Company made him file a police report in order to contact roadside to come help us out. They drained us to the bone and may not have made it to a stop. Uberd back (uberd or ubered?) to the truck because he was dealing with the police (another thing to get reimbursed, great). But I am finally in the darn thing, and I gotta say, it’s pretty nice. We have a brand new 2019 freight liner automatic; 18k on the meter with built in fridge and all. Lots of closet space which surprised me. All in all very pleased with the equipment. We just got the fuel to get us to a truck stop and calling it there for the night and hopefully getting a load tomorrow. From here on out, my training officially begins. Now I just have to deal with the fact that I don’t think my Comdata card is working so I can get paid. Wonderful.

I appreciate it! Looking forward to the journey and I’ll keep the review of the company going as I find things to either gripe over or praise.

Weight, need driving a few days now and so far things are going well. Company has so far honored their reimbursements and sign on bonuses and the pay card is working. We’ve only had short loads mainly Mississippi to Illinois, but I was told that would happen while I train. We should start getting longer hauls soon. So far so good though. Only had one issue when we filled in for a relay team because the dm attitude made two of his guys quit and gave us a hard time when we couldn’t find where the last guy left it. Not our manager though, so it’s not really our problem.

Well I stayed with them for about 4 months. I honestly enjoyed my time there when I had a good teammate. The dedicated division for cat kept us moving and communication was solid. I had issues once my partner left and got stuck in limbo waiting for a new one as they pretty much refused to run me solo. This pushed me to change jobs and I started with Schneider about a month ago. If you and your wife are gonna be teaming and can get on the CAT dedicated account I’d honestly say go for it
