Imagine doing complete tire change or brake job on the whole unit. Maybe it's just talking with you guys, but the looks of those cabovers are growing on me.

when working hard (264k gcw 8%) volvo 13L 540hp is not something worth talking about.
use 10% more fuel than 510hp 13L MB and give exact same performances while pulling and not able to keep up with mb going down probably due cooling.
    fh16 750 use 8% less fuel and give 46% speed increase over 13L 540hp.
will be interesting to see 540hp, 1990lb-ft scania, although they use ball bearing turbo not like in brazil.

this is what ceasar dont understand that for long continuous power demand you need engine volume.
average 40t euro truck needs 140hp to maintain 85kmh. all together average hp delivered would be like 220hp during day on typical highway.
to maintain 80k lbs truck at 75mph you need about 280hp.

we have compared 13L 510hp and 16L 520hp pulling logs, 90800 lbs loaded. going empty in other direction (27500lbs). loaded going on very bad roads with over 5000ft of total elevation (several up and down) , going downhill on highway 3000ft, climbing 1700ft up on highway and going down once again and rest of route was almost flat. while going empty was much more flat (less inclines)
overall 16L used 3% more fuel, dont need to mention it was hot and 510 could not keep up on long pulls. both trucks had 1315rpm at 56mph.

my friend own 510hp 13L with 1315rpm at 56mph and other with slow diff 1518@56, he run 60mph at 1636rpm on difficult route, he says they both use same fuel.

i think 90, but it is question how long does it take to reach that, and how long it can maintain that speed before it drop due slightest extra drag
