Drivers be careful. I80 is closed due to a major accident. At least 5 semi's and 20 cars

P.S. I was shotgun when I snapped these pictures.

It was pretty bad. We saw one car crushed between two trucks. Pretty sure the driver of the car didn't make it.

Always something. Then again I am not surprised with the unsupervised interstates we run.

What I think is someone stopped short. When you do that inside a pack or herd of trucks doign 61 together trying to pass each other, there is going to be a certain amount of bumping and damage.

In other words the Professional trucker must now be confronted with a question.

"Do I stop quickly and be fired for a critical event? Or hit these people and hope not to be at fault?"

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.

Yup, so many talented 4 wheelers. Not driving for conditions. Dam the accidents, full speed ahead!

The first accident was a semi truck. He was hit on the drivers side trailer half way down and drivers side trailer bumper was bent up pretty good. Behind him there were two cars. The second accident was after those and you see three more cars, the OD and Millis, and another jackknifed truck. After those it just was multiple pileups. The roads were icy as h**l.

Road looks wet. Black ice maybe? That’s the most dangerous situation when the road looks sorta wet and the temps are low and just a few drips of rain are falling. Catches you by surprise next thing you know you’re doing a trailer inspection from inside the cab.

    x1Heavy and FerrissWheel Thank this.

Looks pretty frozen to me, the kind of road I don’t want anybody within a half mile of me.
