After about 2 weeks of getting “it’s already covered; you need 3/6 months of authority”, I just booked my 1st load with Trinity.
I’ve been practicing negotiating for 2 weeks and when it came down to it, I choked. I was so ready to just make money.

Guy caught me off guard when he said $900 on a 1100 mile load and I said $1050.

I could here it in his voice when he said, ‘oh yeah I can get that approved’, that I should have gone up way higher.

    somebody shoot me

    TexMountain and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Kind of like that first date when it was over before it started.

We don't have to shoot you. You just shot yourself.
Be aware of something...Brokers consider you to be an imbecile for doing what you're doing. Don't prove them right.

    TexMountain Thanks this.

You wont be around long movin' stuff at $1.10 a mile......
Oh,Just so you know,(And hopefully you haven't delivered yet) That Load was most likely paying $1600-$1700 to the Broker- Now you can think about that while you smile from ear to ear driving 900 miles for $1050 bucks.

You'll learn quick- If Not Your wife will let you know whos messing up.
