I haven’t posted often, but as a 42 year old from another profession I recently finished working as a long haul driver based out of calgary.
my routes took me to places like Los Angeles, Dallas, Toronto and almost everywhere in between. The biggest reason I left is that my chosen profession has given me a job I can’t say no to. The pay literally is twice as much for half the hours. I drove as hard as I could for 7 months at .43 per hour and barely pulled in 33k. For those who stick it out to make a career of it I tip my hat.
driving is a long hard life and I respect all who keep at it
Thanks for all the experiences
