Celadon makes it official -- 4000 jobs wiped out
Indiana-based trucking company Celadon Group Inc. ended the speculation that had been swirling all weekend when they confirmed to their thousands of truck drivers that they would be shuttering their operations permanently.
Shortly after midnight on Monday, December 9, Celadon officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced that they are immediately shutting down their operations.
The Indianapolis Star reports that 4,000 Celadon workers will be laid off, including thousands of truck drivers.
Celadon says that the shut down “does not include the Taylor Express business headquartered in Hope Mills, North Carolina, which will continue to operate in the ordinary course while the Company’s explores a going concern sale of its operations.”
Celadon made the official announcement to their drivers on Monday morning via Qualcomm:

That was uncalled for?
What a nice guy you are!
Maybe 5 minutes is not enough reflection before typing?
I can only speak for myself, but I think long and hard B4 typing anything negative.
Unless it's uplifting or humorous, then it's instant!
If someone says they are a River Boat Pilot, a Prospector, a Pirate, or an Astronaut, what of it?
That one post may be the one high point of their otherwise lousy day.
I've also read other posts on here that brought a tear to my eye.
I'm dealing with paperwork right now from a plethora of agencies and companies involved in the "business" of dying. And make no mistake about it - it is - as they say, just business. It sucks.
I normally wouldn't have called you on this,
but it is almost unbearable realizing these bass turds
are just trying to run out the clock,
so they don't have to do anything!!! $^#$^*&^%$+
I normally enjoy reading your posts and comments, but my nerves are raw today.Last edited: Dec 10, 2019
