My truck is governed at 99mph. And when I got into it, yeah...I played. It was fun blowing the paint off all the governed company trucks!
You know what is more fun? Running the same amount of freight, earning the same revenue, and pocketing an extra $300-$400 per week, all while bringing my cost of maintenance down.
I found I like money more than I like blowing past other trucks. I don't need to wave my willy around proving I gots me a fast truck. And a fat wallet at the end of the week more than makes up for being passed by other rigs.
70 mph or faster trucks.

People like you that say that are full of #### or your hauling some cheap-### freight. When I used to haul containers out of the ports at nit and vig in Hampton roads Virginia I haul hot loads of Volvo parts to Radford and tires to Bristol hammering down 800 miles a day I made twice as much money than the other owner ops driving slow hauling shorter loads. the amount of money you would save in fuel is trivial compared to what the load you must have been getting screwed over on your fuel surcharge. there is no way in hell you can make as much money as me driving slow. Driving fast equals more loads. More loads equals more money. And it was the same way when I was hauling flatbed lumber out of Hampton I picked my loads I hammer down up 95 to Fredericksburg back to Hampton get another load hammer down to Richmond come back hook up and strap my load for the next morning and do it all over again. Once again I made quite a bit more money then the guys hauling local. You can't make more money than me driving slow. regardless of the money I just like to drive fast maybe you like to drive slow.

Well outlaw, it will be interesting when you start your next thread about how bad the 1) cops 2) management 3) e-logs 4) insurance company is because you no longer have a job because of the multiple speeding tickets you have or will have, banging down the hammer lane all day/night long.
I see the mvrs from insured's wanting to know how much it will cost if they add so and so driver....then we see the mvr with 2-5 speeding tickets and the additional premium to add the "outlaw" usually makes the insured choke, and the driver un-employed.cdavis188, 062 and bryan21384 Thank this. -
