My truck is governed at 99mph. And when I got into it, yeah...I played. It was fun blowing the paint off all the governed company trucks!

You know what is more fun? Running the same amount of freight, earning the same revenue, and pocketing an extra $300-$400 per week, all while bringing my cost of maintenance down.

I found I like money more than I like blowing past other trucks. I don't need to wave my willy around proving I gots me a fast truck. And a fat wallet at the end of the week more than makes up for being passed by other rigs.

Speed doesn't cause the problem, driving too fast for conditions is the problem.

People like you that say that are full of #### or your hauling some cheap-### freight. When I used to haul containers out of the ports at nit and vig in Hampton roads Virginia I haul hot loads of Volvo parts to Radford and tires to Bristol hammering down 800 miles a day I made twice as much money than the other owner ops driving slow hauling shorter loads. the amount of money you would save in fuel is trivial compared to what the load you must have been getting screwed over on your fuel surcharge. there is no way in hell you can make as much money as me driving slow. Driving fast equals more loads. More loads equals more money. And it was the same way when I was hauling flatbed lumber out of Hampton I picked my loads I hammer down up 95 to Fredericksburg back to Hampton get another load hammer down to Richmond come back hook up and strap my load for the next morning and do it all over again. Once again I made quite a bit more money then the guys hauling local. You can't make more money than me driving slow. regardless of the money I just like to drive fast maybe you like to drive slow.

I'm just telling you what it is man. Why would you even make a dumb comment like that. I'm telling you right now 80 miles an hour all the way down 64 all the way up 95 north and back or all the way across 64 and down 81 South 80 ####ing miles an hour think I'm bullshittin 80 miles an hour . I'm not a ###### this is just how I like to run. if you're cool with running 65 miles an hour in the ####### truck all day that's your problem

You opened the door on this question. If the money was so good why are you driving a 65mph company truck?

Well outlaw, it will be interesting when you start your next thread about how bad the 1) cops 2) management 3) e-logs 4) insurance company is because you no longer have a job because of the multiple speeding tickets you have or will have, banging down the hammer lane all day/night long.

I see the mvrs from insured's wanting to know how much it will cost if they add so and so driver....then we see the mvr with 2-5 speeding tickets and the additional premium to add the "outlaw" usually makes the insured choke, and the driver un-employed.

Driving fast does not equal more loads and .ore money. You're talking 800 miles, it's still 11 or 12 hrs. Efficiency is what makes more money.
