My sister sent me this... My opinion, from looking at the location and type of damage, is that the car driver probably merged without looking into the trucks steer axle. But the truck driver was an idiot and tookboff so mow its all on him regardless of what actually may or may not have happened.

Maybe one of us saw this accident and could help find the idiot driver.

well glad they were not injured or killed..but you know, "unmarked white semi with damage", would be about 50% or so of the white trucks out there WITH damage.

this is where dash cams come into play.

they would be very lucky that someone DID see this and either got a name of the trailer, phone number, etc.

otherwise, it'll most likely be one more in the dozens of hit and runs.

I can disagree with your "blame the 4 wheeler" scenario very easily. It is possible the truck tried to change lanes and could not see the car. Damage starts at the point where the car is out of view....i.e. blind spot.

This is true... And I could very well be incorrect. And the fact that the driver took off does support the idea that the truck driver was at fault.

Im going to stand on one position.

"There is no blind spot" Only drivers who failed to examine the full picture around them.

I am very grateful no one got hurt.

This is the limit of my participation in this thread.

Two separate threads where experienced drivers are attempting to insert common sense.....I'm getting a headache!

Yeah I know... Seems that drivers in Utah drive VERY aggressively... Manytimes to the point of recklessness.

    Unmarked, White.

10 to 1 it was a Volvo with Illinois plates.
