No. LA, Dallas,Denver and then back to the northwest, I've heard it's a nightmare but haven't been there.

I'd say that everything within 20 miles of Atlanta are as bad as some of the worst stretches of LA interstate. The I-285 loop around Atlanta is horrid. And that's AFTER they added the extra lanes of express lanes on I-75. It used to be almost as bad as NYC traffic.

That car didn't just pop into your "blind spot" out of thin air. They positioned themselves into your blind spot by either merging next to you, or passing you on the right and hanging out there, or you passing them and they match your speed. Either way, you as the professional driver are suppose to be aware of what's happening around you. The hood mirrors really only help if someone got into your blind spot without you noticing. It's YOUR job to notice them before they get into your blind spot.

It's also your job to keep your eyes and attention forward.

I'm well aware of the million ways cars get in your blind spot. And it happens very easily. All day long.

None of us have eyes and attention to be aware of our surroundings 180 degrees.

    FerrissWheel and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

There is no way atlanta traffic is even close to LA. nothing compares to the 405 at 2pm . one time i went there, gps saying 19 miles from delivery in watts i was on 405 at about 1345 maybe 1400. The customer was closed at 1700 and i arrived around 1730. 3.5 hours to go 19 miles, There was no accidents or anything, just to much people clogging up the freeway. Nyc maybe but i dont run up there to much , spend most my time in cali

That was God punishing you for even being on the 405! Rush hour (starts at 1330) I'd rather suffer I-5 to 710 to get to Watts, and possibly I-5/110 ... but never the 405 unless it's 0200!

It was my first time ever going into central LA. lets say i learned my lesson, because i arrived at the customer and of course they was closed and had to find somewhere to park .. ended up getting back up to the ta in ontario about 45 miles away didnt want to park in watts or surrounding areas for the night for obvious reasons lol man i hate that place
