IF YOU DRIVE FOR AN OWNER THIS IS WHAT TO EXPECT.....Remember anyone that has lets say a $1,600 used truck payment & $180.00 a week for all the deductions just for the privilege of being leased onto them now that's $780.00 a month now your at $2,380 a month not turning one mile is a rip off. Then you need 2 people in the truck that don't know each other. Lost your privacy that will end up making after fuel around an average of a whopping $300-400 a week each if your lucky & then out of that you get to pay your own taxes. It's what kind of deal????

i delt with panter for 6 months made a stupid move and went to a different owner and did not get paid through that owner but the first owner was great and for you info you do not get paid for you first week of loads until panter gets paid which i two weeks and if you are not ready for expidit loads you will never work out and no they do not wait for another company to concell there load and get it at there rate shippers call them to get a load to them in a hurry because that is what they are know for getting a load there when they need it when other companys will not do that

You have to remamber panther dose not pay drivers unless you own the truck if you are driving for a owner and you didnt get payed then he didnt pay you and hes the one you need to go after,i've been driving for panther for 2 yrs and dont have any problems i get payed every 2 weeks and have never set for more then 1 day but you have to work for a good owner that lets you run your truck your way NOT HIS,It takes awhile to learn were the fright is and how to move you truck to get that fright.if panther want move me to a good board after i've been setting then i'll move myself(out of my own pocket)this is a chiose you have, I would rather pay (if they want empty move me)and move to get fright then set someplace were i know i want get fright.

Worked for Panther11 Expedited Services 6 weeks. DONE
Orientation is a joke. Physical is mandatory, even though I just had one. They try not to tell you you are paying for this in your first pay deposits. Its very hard to get home time. The dispatchers keep giving you loads. Turn them down, you go back to the bottom of the board. More waiting. Dispatchers are trainees, no experience.
I was assigned to a fleet. They have me listed as quit load. There was no load.
If you sign with Panther11,,, Watch your back.. Beware!!!

These aren't isolated incidents? I thought that Panther II was supposed to be one of the "good guys".

"good guys" might not be the correct term, but they are one of the larger expedited carriers.

Expediting is totally different from OTR trucking. It's not the miles you run, it's the loads you get. There is sometimes way more waiting time with expediting.

As for pay, if you are a O/O, you won't see pay for this weeks work for at least 2 more weeks. You get paid after the the carrier gets paid. And if you drive for a O/O, there might even be a further week delay, as they might not do their bookkeeping and cut checks till after they get paid.

There are lots of people out there making decent money in expediting, but a person really has to know how the system works before they do. A lot of the horror stories about people going broke are true, but ususlly the people are those who didn't do their homework ahead of time. The most common mistake is they buy or lease a truck with too high a payment and or don't have enough of a cash reserve to cover expenses for the 1st month or so. They sign on with a company, but almost from the get go they have to live off the advances they can get on a load, so they never actually catch up.

Right on ((rain1111)) sit and wait. I was with a fleet owner. Everything went through Panther. Lies, Lies, Lies. Plus, in A Stright Truck with a Driver I didn't know.
He was a thief and a lier. I am now the owner of my own truck and running solo.
Panther??? Run for the door.. Please don't go there if you need money..
Its a good place to loose what you do have. The thief is still there. Go figure..

When I was with Fedex CC I realy didn't have issues with pay,but I drove with the owner and he paid me on time each week. But I got to agree there is lot of down time, mostly loading and unloading waiting time.
