Just had a quick question will this show up on my MVR / DAC report he said it will be zero points and will this affect me getting a job? It was an easy pass express lane on 94 South and I did not see the sign that said two axle vehicles only obviously I have a 5 axle vehicle so he wrote me a ticket for 125 + $65.

Failure to obey traffic control devices (Signs)

It's a moving violation so... it will affect you a little bit but you have not done anything outrageous and ticket yourself out of the industry.

    It will cost you money.

Then again it might cost you more than that economically later once the full impact of the ticket settles into your future employers who love to say no.

Most companies allow 1 or 2 tickets within 12 months. No more then 2 or 3 within 36 months.
    Also depends on the severity.

I don't know how serious a failure to obey traffic device would be considered.
Excessive speed and cell phone would be high on the no no list.

Always get a lawyer. Depending on the state. They could probably get the violation reduced to some bogus non moving violation. You still pay the fine. Plus the lawyer fee. But it keeps your driving record clean.

    Depending on the state.
Some could care less about truckers. Wyoming and NM are 2 that will say TOO BAD, SO SAD.

Most of my tickets were reduced to parking or logbook violations. No record. Still paid the full fine amount though.

It depends on if your home licensing state sees it as a moving violation. I would pay it and move on most courts dont care.

Wait, did your ticket say unauthorized vehicle? If so why are others saying failure to obey traffic control device?
