Far from it, I'm sure. However, I am familiar with the corrupt culture in the insurance industry and I have seen enough Freightliner bills to know that their invoicing system is garbage, so nothing is happening right now that I don't understand.
I am rather displeased and annoyed, but it only hurts **ME** if I let myself get angry enough to do stupid things or develop ulcers.
I am not a terribly calm person by nature. However, I'm getting close to 50, and the years have taught me that you need to be polite to people, even when they are trying to screw you over. That doesn't mean you can't be clear that you are angry, or that you can't screw them over right back. Politely. TruNorth ended up not getting the Crete discount on the parts and labor that they agreed to pay for.
Taking the plunge. My journey as an O/O.

JHC!!!! It’s taking longer to pay the effin bill than the whole job should of taken!!!
Here’s the real question? Would you buy the True north warranty again?
I know my answer already and it hasn’t changed from my original opinion before you even started this thread.Rideandrepair, basedinMN_, fordconvert and 2 others Thank this. -
Financially, in a direct comparison, I doubled my money on the warranty.
However, including real costs, the warranty cost me about 2k in hotel bills and three weeks of income as well as the 5.5k purchase price.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Ya those 3rd party warranties are a scam. They intentionally make it such a time consuming process that you would rather pay out of pocket than try to get something warranted
Midwest Trucker, Rideandrepair, dwells40 and 3 others Thank this. -
You should be getting something of a warranty on the labor at least from Freightliner for the repair work. But I agree with the others I would have left that money in my pocket on the third party deal.

Life advice, when they seem to be offered in good faith, are also no problem. The day I stop listening to advice that seems to be honest, that's the day they'll be starting funeral arrangements. I might not agree with the advice, but I'll listen to it.
As for gaming, the first computer games I played, I had to program them into an Apple IIe from the pages of a magazine in 4th grade. Back when Apple IIe's were cutting edge personal machines.
When I was in college, a 1GB storage array for a modern mainframe was about the size of a washing machine.
My first year at the University of South Carolina (1989) was the year that the Computer Science department retired their card-punch computer.
It was a wild ride growing up in the beginning of the information age.Midwest Trucker, spearwarrior, Shotgun94 and 6 others Thank this. -
Update.
The Warranty company's check has arrived. I am clear to go pick up the truck.
My next post will be from the truck, provided nothing stupid happens.
