Some of the truck manufactures were advertised on this forum.

But if you read the news. Harley, gm, Ford, IBM, retail, banks, etc.

There's a Celadon bobtail abandoned on the shoulder of I-20 in Louisiana. Been there for at least a week now. Kind of depressing picture to see.

I just don't understand why this happens to the drivers so abruptly. The people behind the scenes had to have known weeks prior.

The economy is booming. Unemployment is at a historical low (3.6). Take your beef to the political forum.

    Any guesses as to who?

I'm thinking P&S out of Birmingham, AL. Lot of bad decisions happening over there. Hoping the associated carriers (Blair, HS Express, National Strategic) manage to extricate themselves before the closure.

Mercer ain't looking real healthy, either. At least, not from talking with their contractors.

JR Schugel seems to be having trouble on the maintenance end of things. They lost their national account for repair, at least temporarily.

Too many second and third generations destroying what the first generation built, it seems. All these big carriers collapsing due to mismanagement more than anything else.

Just heard about that myself. Ecorse, MI is on the "Shut Down Permanently" list. Mill is too old, and can't be brought up to US Steel's newer internal environmental standards.

Gary Works, Birmingham, and Granite City, IL are also on the list unless they figure out a way to update those old style mills to cleaner standards.

I've heard that too. But AK did just sell for Pennys on the dollar. Something stinks.
