Picked up the truck today. Here’s what they did. It did not blow oil on the way home. It does have smoke coming from the blowby. Mechanic tells me it’s more than it should be.
Should I be concerned? Truck drives fine.

There are spec’s for blow-by on engines and there are test procedures to tell if it’s excessive or not. Its hard to tell just by looks how bad it actually is.
spsauerland and swaan Thank this. -

Just drive it. Blowby is not going to hurt anything. When it starts using oil at a high rate then inframe it. It might still go for years

My acert puffs like a locomotive.Shawn2130, spsauerland and Gix1k Thank this. -
Just run it for now make some loot with it, but they sure pretty'd up that engine though. Anything that old with a fresh paint job you have to ask yourself some questions.
AModelCat Thanks this. -
I'm with Swaan. If it ain't using oil and if oil pressure is in spec I wouldn't worry enough to mess with it.
Blowby is combustion gasses that slip past the rings and into the crankcase. All engines have a little blowby. As liners and rings wear, blowby increases. Over time it'll start consuming more oil. -

All cats have decent blowby. Post a video of your blowby so we can tell you. You don’t need a meter. My buddy had to get a rebuild this year because his blowby tube started chugging like a freight train and hitting the ground. Plus losing a gallon of oil every 2 days.
