So I want to clarify and hope you guys have the answers. So if I buy a 5 year old freightliner M2 single axle 33k truck, decide to add a lift axle, I now have to pay a 12% FET tax on the truck because its over 33k gvwr? If so, what would the 12% tax be based off, purchase price of truck new, or some perceived value at date of modification.
