I am a flatbed truck driver purchased 2015 international ProStar with ISX cummins engine on 7/31/2019 with 461,000 miles on it I put 40,000 miles on it the truck broke down on 12 /6/2019 due to engine problems I had the truck for about 90 days put down $5981.25 Plus other money I paid to put equipment on truck was paying $700 a week for six weeks the first six weeks I didn’t have any payment I purchased the truck in Missouri I finally got back in contact with the people that I purchased the truck from after calling them for nine days straight leaving messages to come and pick the truck up from the tow truck company and they’re trying to tell me I’m going to have fees and etc. and is going to be a repo how that a repo it was faulty equipment you sold me you should be oh me money so that’s why I’m researching for a lawyer called one lawyer in Jersey but they said they do not operate in Missouri so basically looking for a lawyer in Missouri to see how much it will cost so I can put a deposit down for this situation I made a complaint with BBB Kansas City Missouri and BBB with North Carolina where the warranty liability company is out of if you have any information with situations like this can you please send me iMessage on here or email at RobertlDawson0@gmail.com thanks

Buyer beware, as is, where is, no warranty expressed or implied, and all that.

I don't understand your thought process. What's the lawyer supposed to do? Brand new trucks break down too. You bought a 5 year old truck. Further to that, you admitted to putting 40,000 miles on it. It could just as easily broke down due to something you may have neglected to maintain.

Tell me what is a lawyer going to do but take your money... you have no case against who sold you a "as is" truck.
You said a warranty company....? Was what went bad not covered by the AFTERMARKET warrenty... the warranty said what is and IS NOT covered..
Fees yup they can and will charge you for them..... and yes it's a repo -
Read your sales agreement from when you bought the truck, and no doubt you signed it. I'm guessing that it says "Sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied". That's standard text in any used vehicle sales contract. Lemon laws don't apply to used vehicles unless there is something in writing offering a warranty.
It's up to you to get it checked out mechanically before buying the truck or any used vehicle for that matter. -
So oil sample came back good (assuming a not fresh oil change)?
How about dyno?
How about a 3rd party inspection of the truck?
Or did you just see the chrome and go "here, take my money!"?
This is one business selling to another business. As such it's governed by the specific contact more than any other laws. And with 40,000 miles on the clock, I highly doubt any type of fraud suit will go anywhere. -
TallJoe, Upinsmoke, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.

That’s an interesting payment plan, not too many can get a payment like that. How long was your loan for (payment wise) so we can figure this out?Upinsmoke Thanks this. -
And I hope they arent putting chrome on Prostars now... LOLUpinsmoke, ZVar, HoneyBadger67 and 3 others Thank this. -
It was a used truck that's why you check them out why do so many people think that dealers are responsible for everything its your job to check the truck they just sell them with that type of payment and the way you wanted warranty you should have bought new
