I loaded up the other day in a potholed dock. Unhooked per their procedures. Rehooked and unloaded at a new location. Now empty and locking Jaws are around the head on passenger side. Can't get them to release. Now in a dirt parking lot in rainy AL. Yes I know I'm am idiot for not checking the coupling when I hooked. That said... Help!

Not that good of a picture, but with the trailer brakes set did you try backing up against it to relieve pressure? Also try dumping the airbags on the tractor with the landing gear down and gently Rock it back and forth to take the pressure off
allendriven and jammer910Z Thank this. -
Maybe find a helper to pull the handle while you rock the truck (trailer brakes set)? I'm kinda surprised a few bridge transitions didn't bounce that down into place.

I finally got out. I'm not so sure it wasn't a bridge or RR xing that caused it. Is it possible the jaws are not set correctly? How would I know? (Aside from leaving the trailer behind on a highway at 65mph). Just a company driver, and the company is quite frugal. Got my fanny chewed for buying a tire pressure gauge. They're not made of money! I also was informed that i need to fuel up more often. (So the bills won't be as much) As far as getting my jam free, i pulled the handle as far as i could, hooked a few bungee cords to keep the pressure on it, then up and down and in and out till it popped free. Thanks for the tips people! I have one. .. check it, Everytime.
