Is it legal for a U.S. Truck to pull a Canadian trailer inside the United States? Thanks for the help!

I would think so. I was with a company back in the day that had a Canadian division, but all the equipment was plated in the US. So I would think as long as the trailer is legally registered somewhere it should be legal to be pulled.

I would think so. It's the power unit that is registered/insured/driven/authorized etc. The trailer is just an afterthought. :biggrin_25525:

It regulates the driver as far as I know, although permits may be required for the equipment.

Be sure to let your driver manager know that you have your passport and can go to Canada. I'm not sure it will help, but they don't know unless you specifically let them know. After orientation they will probably stick you with a "newbie" DM for about a month or so. Fair warning... they are not very attentive to their drivers and will not even normally bother to learn who you are by name since they deal with so many people. Don't let it discourage you, the regular DM's tend to be much better.

It regulates the truck. If your truck is registered in USA, you cant go point to point in Canada, regardless of citizenship

    cannuck Thanks this.
