I gotta work Thursday ( my scheduled day off) since I'm off Christmas. I was hoping for two days off then come in for one and another two off but the overtime will be a nice incentive to work though.

don’t really have a rant, but i did finally get a new truck. they shipped out my old one at almost a million miles, but the new one replacing it went to someone else. played truck roulette the last couple months, glad to end that.

2020 mack anthem. mp7/auto 12 spd. had 350 miles on it. it’s ok. i already miss the 10 speed and lack of buzzers, chimes and general distractions.

I got #### lucky last year, they gave me a route on a 28’ trailer with the first stop being a pallet drop at a hospital and the second being an easy one at a truck stop. Those took out two thirds of my trailer and the rest was out in a rural area a few counties away. One of my easiest routes ever.

That's how my Monday is 600 cases off at a hospital with palletjack then the rest of my day is like 5 stops 200 cases max in a pup.

You’d think they would fire him (or pressure the contractor to do so), but it’s been nearly a week and nothing has come out about it so far. They obviously realize it will have some intense blowback if he is fired, but they probably also don’t want to publicly endorse their drivers carrying.

Yea that's a tough spot to be in. If you let it go you are basically saying that carrying is okay (I imagine it's not with FedEx but I have no knowledge to support that so I could be wrong) but if they cut him loose then they are the bad guys for firing a guy that very well could have died on the job. Bad situation for everyone.

Might put the “contractor” status of the sub into play if the push that?
