I know Americans want everything delivered.
As most delivery services reach their peak demand this week one might assume the company's equipment demand is stressed.
I'd always heard that Fed Ex and Amazon et al were lower rates.
Not verified but just judging by the equipment I see pulling most.
Is $3 a mile both ways realistic or just a ploy?
Sounded like ..you know what
OWNER OPS GET 3$ PM NOW!
Is it true?

Besides the to good to be true factor just using the word "stupid " in an ad speaks volumes (to me anyway).

At peak? Maybe that's sustainable. But down the road, I doubt it.
And are we talking $3 per mile before they take their cut? That changes a lot as well.PE_T Thanks this. -
3$ a mile for short 50 mile runs, Amazon loads have discussed many times on here

I came to the conclusion many years ago that 90% of job ads posted on Craigslist (like this one) are complete BS and never really offer what they claim.
Amazon just fired FedEx and their logistics branch has just become their own biggest client. Paying $3 per mile isn't part of their business model. -

45 years driving company trucks.
3 times I seriously considered buying my own but I never could justify all the commitments that it requires.
After I retire I may buy a truck outright and truck on my own terms but then again I may just go fishing.LtlAnonymous, p608 and Upinsmoke Thank this. -
Happy days are here again, now where's the closest Volvo?

One of my agent offered me an Amazon route of $2/mile gross for California runs in December 2019. Owner operators get 70% of that. I declined. Company i am leased to also have many UPS and Fedex runs but requires mostly teams. They were paying average $2.25/miles to my Agents. Again 70% of that is crap since my Carrier need their cut. 2018, Amazon were paying $3/mile for California runs to the Carrier.
