The one by the Love's on 10 in Phoenix. Usually do an undercarriage rinse too.
I think axles are like $20 each, same for frame rails.
Or float the lead a few bucks.
I've been very happy with them.
But like you said, you gotta time it right.
The one in Vegas no hand dry.
I've seen the one I'm talking about in Phoenix with the line out past the Kenworth dealer lol. That's gotta be 4 hours or better wait. That's like 30 trucks in front of you.
I go over there like 0330 or 0400, usually only couple trucks then.

Only problem is the brushes....yes it's a truck but I still dont want swirl marks..its black..easy to spot. I will not use acid at all or citrus..only water and soap. I will however pay the extra or do it myself for hand wash and wax. OCD is a beech.

All we ever used to wash trucks was a hot water pressure washer. After everything was washed off, cab and hood got washed just like an ordinary car. Nice, soft brush on a long handle and a bucket of soapy water.

Sumtinlidat Thanks this.

Meguiar's Ultimate wash n wax(yellow soap) at home. Blue Beacon after running through snow and slop if out on the road. That North Western acid wash will sock it to your frame paint like right now. It ain't no joke.

I usually wash my truck about 3-4am every Sunday so there’s no water spots. Takes about 2-3 hours but no matter where or who I pay to wash it, I’m gonna always point out missed spot. So I just do it myself. I brush the dump box and use sponge and smaller brushes to do axles and frame. Hand wash the cab with microfiber rag then hand dry.
when I wash in the dark it comes out better I feel. Instead of rushing and missing spots then going back I wash everything. Have a system and it’ll be easier.
Or mostly i just wash the wheels and under carriage thru the week and spray wax the cab during the workday or when I get home. -
If they don't cover your wheels right, the acid wash will burn the finish of the chrome lug caps almost immediately. I've had it happen twice, so I stopped getting the acid (or brightner as they call it) and just get it brushed.

I like washing stuff myself. Having time tends to mess that up.

Once I came in with the front of my truck covered in bugs. Bad. But I told them make sure to get the bugs off. "Yes sir" was the answer. Well they finished and the truck dried and there were bugs everywhere on the chrome, it looked awful. I called them and they said bring it back and the re-washed the entire front of the rig. That was BB Indy.
Another time was more recently when I took my rig to be cleaned in Pearl, MS. It was just generally dirty, nothing spectacular. I sign the paperwork, jump in the truck, get a thumbs up and as I'm pulling onto the interstate my hood flies up. They hadn't latched it right. I had to stop on the side of I-20 to fix it. Then when the truck dried it was streaked badly from a poor rinse job. I submitted a comment card that I'd grabbed while I was there and got a call from the general manager of BB.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Thats one thing we did not have ever. Regarding the hood etc a little bit of a walk around post wash when they say they are done after you pull outside generally makes sure everything is in order.
In my time we stand over the crew working on cleaning the truck, so when if they needed something we deal with it. Better luck next time.
