I emailed you Nas but thought I wouldput it in a thread for others also

    New issues are as follows:
After engine is off overnight or several hours it takes about 10-15 seconds of cranking to fire
Doesn’t run rough. Power seems to be good

When it’s first started in the morning, the burn rate is around 0.8 gph BUT after a few minutes of idling it goes up to 1.7 or 1.8

——— LEFT side fuel tank HAS bubbles from line
——— RIGHT side tank has NO bubbles

Fuel mileage all of the sudden really bad. Jacksonville to El Paso 3 fuel stops 5.7 then 5.4 currently showing 5.2 —- use to be in the 7’s
Deadheading use to get 9 to 10mpg. Now really hard get 8mpg
Oil level not rising in crankcase
First thought was air leak somewhere ——Nasriza I think remember you telling me get a new clamp?. But had so much going on in my head don’t recall what and why

The new turbo seems great but the Turbo boost is very very reactive Very little foot pedal pressure and it’s at 20 pounds plus maybe it’s normal and I was just use to my old 900k miles turbo

Can a boost leak somewhere in the system cause this super touchy turbo to create more boost than might be needed?

i am not familiar with Volvo engines but bubbles in fuel tank mean you need new o rings for injectors and injector cups for detroits...

Yes you might be right. All I have read though seems to only talk about bubbles in the Right side tank

If you want to, try bumping up your idle speed to a 1000rpm and look again in both tanks. There’s just one return fuel hose coming from fuel filter housing and going back to fuel tanks. So it really don’t make a difference left or right tank.

Please keep us posted as we have the same issue. Though we don't have dropped mpg and we changed injectors and cups and turbo 7 months ago at Volvo dealer.

Need new cups most likely. Need to go to a dealership or a good shop for an air test to confirm, highly unlikely that it has anything to do with the turbo. Cost to replace cups etc will vary but approx 4500 to 6000 usd depending(and I repeat this is an estimate prices will vary). If you go to a volvo dealership you will get a one year warranty on cups and labor. At a shop just parts warranty. Your call on it. Crappy christmas present but that is the way it goes. Good luck

If there are bubbles in both tanks does it mean fuel filter housing needs to be replaced?

No you don’t need to replace fuel filter housing. You will be better off to test for air in fuel system just like @Rob100100 suggests. All Volvo and Mack dealers would be able to do a test. There’s basic test and also advanced test. You will need to do advanced if you want fuel filter housing checked out.
