I was wondering if anybody could break down a general list of expenses for me for the one ton pickups(hot shotters). You don't have to split hairs and say "well depends on how you drive it and which shop you get it worked on etc etc" just some general figures would do.Like Tires,Breaks, fluids, regular tune ups etc.any realistic figure at all would be helpful.

I have been doing this for about 6 years.

It depends on where you buy the parts. I buy at close to wholesale at home.
It depends on where you have the work done. My mechanic charges alot less. Some of the work I do myself.
Tires depend on the weight and speed driven.

Oil changes run me about 68.00 every two weeks.
    Brakes, pads were done once.
Tune up? Mine is a diesel.

I lost a transmission on the road last year. I could have had it fixed at home for about 1800. Went to Dodge dealer on the road, 3500 later and 5 days in a motel and food. Guess it cost dearly.

Just lost the A/C. It will wait till I get home on Tuesday. Cheaper to do at home.

My 2007 Dodge with 5.9 has 292,800 or so on it.
