I think we hung on to our equipment so long in part due to our drivers taking such good care of their stuff. My '97 Freightliner was in remarkably phenomenal shape. All the panels and controls were constantly cleaned and nothing was damaged.
Now on the USF Holland side, our trucks are complete garbage. I think this is in large part due to our higher number of drivers, along with a average turnover rate. People flat out don't give a crap and equipment that is 10 years newer than Reddaway gets totally trashed and destroyed.
We still see old trailers with the TNT logo covered. I've also seen plenty of Dugan trailers as well. What else is funny is my old Reddaway barn had an old service center map hung up outlying all the terminals from Reddaway, Holland, Dugan, Bestway, and I think Glen Moore was on there too. I really wish I snagged it before I quit... Or even just taken a picture of it.The Shadow, Texas_hwy_287, Mike2633 and 2 others Thank this. -
