Be careful. If the logs come back up and you are a day ahead they may smell something fishy

I feel like you new breed of e log automatic steering wheel holders are clueless judging from some of these comments . Like god forbid he logged something falsely. Just 2 years ago safety departments at tens of thousands of carriers had all the memes of “When drivers say they have the hours” posters on the wall. No one died or got hurt. WHO CARES. Bunch of big babies in here.

That is just it. nobody cares, until someone gets hurt.

Just go play the lottery and don't brag about it if you do. nobody cares.

I agree. OP is foolish for self snitching. But man the replies got me dead.

Someone could come on here asking on help dodging a scale for being 1000 pounds overweight and users will troll and ridicule him for breaking the law.

I’m 33... I don’t like being told what to do, and when to do it. Especially by some fat ###### who works for big brother.

While I do think the 10 hour break should be 8, I also think it's important that people follow the rules that exist. There are only so many drivers with so many hours. If you are still able to accept loads and compete with other drivers when you legally shouldn't be, you are in essence stealing from them. The other point to make is that if everyone decided to just cook the books, the competition would now make your time potentially less valuable.

With that being said, the odds of everyone becoming ELD exempt are slim, so you don't have to worry about it from a realistic standpoint, but it's more of an ethical issue. Which is also why I feel the penalty should be severe for people that get caught doing it.

I’m not convinced that Elogs have made anyone safer. Seatbelts, maybe a little bit. Tha first study out after mandated seat belts, showed just the opposite. I’m not sure Truckings any safer now. A lot of things look good on paper, and sound like common sense. But in real time situations, don’t always apply. Be safe, everyone. They’re out to hang a Truckdriver, first chance they get, even if everything’s Legal. Got to cover your ###.
