Are they building up the industrial area in New Lenox? That's a nice town I'd bet the police there will be laying the hammer down on truckers.

That town is still mostly rural although the residential areas have built up quite a bit. After this fiasco I wouldn’t be surprised if the residents there have a town meeting about banning trucks from their town limits(just like Elwood)!

The can haulers in that area are ridiculous. The trucks look like trash.

Bud A. and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

There are quite a few out here in Washington that have good rigs running cans, but to be fair, they are companies that run 10-40 truck fleets with their own chassis’s.

Interestingly enough, triethyl phosphate does not require placards in any quantity. So, no violation there. My experience with shippers is that they are very conscious of which materials require placards.

Here's a link to the SDS for this stuff. Section 14 contains the transport requirements on all SDS:

SECTION14. Transport informationLand transport(DOT)Not classified as dangerous in the meaning of transport regulations.
Air transport(IATA)Not classified as dangerous in the meaning of transport regulations.
Sea transport(IMDG)Not classified as dangerous in the meaning of transport regulations.

Hauling a 20' container on a stretched 3 axle chassis, if it started to sway, he did something wrong, I haul these day after day at 80K and never once have I had one move.
