The number one reason why all of this Sovereign Citizen garbage exists is because penalties are so lax. So, there's a whole different problem starting up. I wonder what's next.

I don't understand these people's thought process. They can just do whatever they want without consequence? He said in the video he should be free unless he's causing harm, does that mean he can drive 80 in a 55 if he isn't causing harm? Do they want no laws? They seem anti police, but what about when they actually need them in an emergency situation or the like?

My father had a contract for the state of Nebraska mowing the shoulders of state highways for many years. It absolutely amazed me how people would not move over. Could be a 4 lane highway with absolutely no traffic and people would fly right by the edge of the tractor on the fog line. Didn't matter that they saw grass flying out, along with rocks, tires, road signs...

Best part is when the speed limit is 70 and they was only doing about 63 but still find the reason to slam on the brakes. There isnt much going on up there in the head of most the people on the road it seems like

That is because many people in cars can no longer drive and read road signs at the same time. Braindeads. And then they get a CDL and blindly follow their GPS.

Perhaps we are observing the beginnings of the zombie apocalypse. It will probably be something simple that turns it into the Resident Evil horror show. Like a Braindead with a cold or flu or chickenpox took a hit of flakka and dandelion spores and sneezes in a public place infecting thousands.

Edit: That would suggest that the people that would most susceptible to a zombie virus would be any and all Braindead friends and family. So, the best way to stop it would be to test for Braindeadness before they get the virus. Chewing gum and a stair master.

I don’t envy those guys out there working off the side of the road this time of year. I know a couple guys who do it, and they earn every penny. I actually work for the Montana DOT in a “call-out” position this year plowing the highways during heavy storms. I get to see first hand a lot of complete idiots out on the road in poor conditions.

    However...

I was cruising along today on 89 from Alpine, WY to Jackson in my semi loaded with lumber. Two lane road with some scattered snow and ice. Going 50 in the 55. Coming around one of the many blind corners only to be greeted by a tow truck facing the wrong direction half in my lane off the shoulder pulling out a 3/4 ton Dodge with a camper on the back. Sitting between the two is a Wyoming trooper. I managed to get slowed down to 15 and drift over into the opposite lane to get around them, but why in the hell was there no warning? Why wasn’t there a sign alerting traffic both directions of the accident ahead? That cop should have been 1/4 mile away with flares or something. I know some of you will say, “hurr derr you were driving too fast yuk yuk” which is horse ####. The visibility was just fine luckily so I was able to slow down enough to not have a close call. You have to mitigate these risks when you’re out there. Trusting your safety to some flashing lights at the site of your work is madness. At least in Montana they will put up bright orange/pink signs that say “Accident Ahead” 1/2 mile away.

Here's a little story about driver consideration, or in this case, lack thereof...

Driving south down I-59 in Mississippi a few years ago, I was coming up on a disabled vehicle with two people walking up the shoulder. I looked left, saw a 4 wheeler about a quarter mile back, and moved over. By the time I got to the "situation" which appeared to be a motorist who ran out of gas and was walking with a can, the 4 wheeler moved right, and flew by me right where the people were walking. After clearing their car, I moved back right and gave the moron a little flash of the lights to let him know he was being an ###. At that, he slammed on the brakes, slowed down to a crawl, and then played brake check chicken with me for about a mile before speeding off.

Moral of the story? These days most folks care nothing about anyone but themselves. Even if he thought I was a jerk for jumping in the left lane, he should have seen, once he moved right, that I moved left for a reason, and adjusted accordingly for the safety of those on the shoulder, but nope. The jerk never slowed down at all.

Was thinking about this subject the other day. Sad for these workers, prayers. Wouldn't it be safer to teach everyone to pull further off the road? Seriously , it's that simple! Just about every time I see recovery or police officers working a vehicle there's plenty of hard ground beside them..... just consider it. I've safely pulled even my loaded truck half off the pavement. Might just be the cushion needed!? Thoughts?

Camera would put that person in their place. Hope they don't kill someone before that.
